PARE HAURAKI FISHING TRUST – SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING

The Pare Hauraki Fishing Trust will hold a Special General Meeting to consider and vote on proposed amendments to the Trust Deed.

The amendments are required to ensure the Trust Deed complies with the Māori Fisheries Act 2004, as amended in 2024.

MEETING DETAILS

Date: Saturday, 17 October 2026 Time: 10.30am Venue: Matai Whetu Marae

Proposed Resolution

Members will be asked to vote on the following resolution:

“That the proposed amendments to the Trust Deed of the Pare Hauraki Fishing Trust:

(a) be adopted; and (b) will take effect immediately; and (c) are for the collective benefit of all members of Hauraki Iwi.”

How to Vote

Voting papers will be available at the Special General Meeting.

Requests for postal voting papers must be received by Thursday 22 October. Requests for online voting details can be made right up until voting closes at 12 noon on Friday 30 October.

All completed voting papers must be received by 12.00 noon on Friday, 30 October 2026 to be counted.

Note: postal ballots will only be sent to those validated iwi members who have requested them.
